About Canterbury
Canterbury is the largest region in the South Island: the plains, the alps behind them, and Christchurch — a city that rebuilt much of its centre in public after 2011. It runs from Kaikōura down to the Waitaki, and it grows a large share of the grain, seed and lamb in the country.
